“A Place to Be” Spirituality Center

The St. John XXIII Adult Faith Formation Ministry is excited to announce the growth of our ministry into A Place to Be Spirituality Center: Located at: 2561 Hwy 32, Port Washington (corner of Hwy 32 & Cty Rd LL) OPENS JULY 2018! A Place to Be will be a sacred place of peace and hospitality for anyone seeking a deeper connection with themselves and God. It will be an ecumenical Spirituality Center dedicated to supporting anyone at any point on their journey in search for God, meaning and wholeness— whether well established in your faith or seeking understanding. Grounded in Christian values and led by the Holy Spirit, the Center will: Provide a setting of peace and tranquility. Offer hospitality and hope for people of all denominations, of all walks of life. Invite guests into prayer and reflection as a path to spiritual transformation. Provide formation and small-group discussions to foster spiritual growth and build community. Create opportunities for others to offer support and encouragement to fellow seekers. Many exciting and engaging activities are already planned at the Center: Advent Retreat, art corner, Centering Prayer, Spiritual Direction and a wide variety of retreats such as Geography of Grace, Art as Prayer, Mandala Painting, Bible Basics and Contemplative Movie Nights. Our current programs, Bible studies, Bereavement Support, TMIY/Men’s Scripture Study, will continue and be expanded in our new location. The offices of Kelly Lemens and Angela Steffen, currently located in the Parish Rectory, will also relocate to the Center so that we can be more present to you, our parishioners, and any others needing support and encouragement.
