Be Christ Inspired - Joyfully Live Our Call

 Respecting Life....Baby Bottle Project

Human Concerns is again participating in the Baby Bottle Project, which has been so well received over the last 18 years. Pick up a baby bottle at any of the exits at church, during early October, fill it with your family's spare change over the next few weeks, and then return it at the end of October. There will be baby bottles available at the parish office, as well. Make this a family event! The proceeds will benefit the Women’s Care Center, in Milwaukee, which helps women in a crisis pregnancy situation. Brochures about the Women’s Care Center are located by the cradle, as well. Click here to make a donation.

The reversal of Roe v Wade gave each State the right to allow or prohibit abortion. Although abortion is now illegal in Wisconsin, the Center may be the only support system some women have, as they face the many pressures from their own parents, husband, or boyfriend with an unplanned pregnancy and then feel more pressure to have an abortion in a nearby state. Through the help of the Center, they are able to see the value of the unborn life within them.

Baby items are always needed (onesies, diapers-any size, booties, any clothing or infant items, etc.). Please put these items in the cradle in the back of church.  New or gently used baby gear is always appreciated (except only “unexpired” car seats). For more information, contact Linda (see below).

The support does not stop with just the pregnancy test itself! In addition, the Center provides counseling, Mother Share classes, referrals, material goods assistance plus abstinence, parenting and breastfeeding classes. They have an east side (Farwell) and south side (Historic Mitchell St., Spanish speaking) office. All services are FREE. The diapers and new baby clothes that were donated last year, were greatly appreciated. Your spare change this year, will help babies and their moms and YOU WILL HAVE made a difference! Contact Linda at 414-688-6462 or linda,[email protected] with any questions or for more information. Thank you!
