Be Christ Inspired - Joyfully Live Our Call

Browsing From the Desk of Fr. Pat!

Prayer for all Families:

Heavenly Father, who called you only Son in obedience away from the caravan to Your house, have mercy on our families. Like MaryFr. Patrick Wendt
& Joseph whose twelve-year-old son went missing, we are often anxious and upset and we cannot comprehend Your will. Let the
family be the place where Your only Son is free to dwell. Have mercy on us all: the intact, the extended, the broken, the blended,
the dysfunctional, and the upended. Bring Salvation to our steps and let us open our door and embrace each other.

Family News: Continuing a Theme on Family
We received notice that Joseph Babcock, son of Burt & Cate Babcock of our cluster parishes has joined the postulancy program of the Capuchin Franciscan Friars.
Joseph is a 2014 graduate of Port Washington High School. Joseph is providing ministry to Voces de la Frontera, an immigrant rights group based in Milwaukee. He is
providing leadership for the New Sanctuary Movement Milwaukee. In addition to providing ministry work, the Capuchin postulancy program includes formation studies.
After one year of postulancy, the candidates continue their studies and vocational discernment process through training as a novice, which is also one year in duration.
The novitiate year is when they receive the Capuchin habit. The Capuchin Friars live as a community of brothers, modeling themselves after St. Francis of Assisi assisting
the poor and marginalized.

Keep Joe in your prayers and also Jenna Quentin who is also in a program of preparation to enter religious life. Now known as Sister Mae Terese.
