As this calendar year draws to a close, it’s time to kick off our 2022 Financial Stewardship Campaign. In the spirit of our recently celebrated Thanksgiving holiday, we’d like to express our deep appreciation for the support you’ve provided to St. John XXIII, be it financial or otherwise. Indeed, we could not begin to meet the needs of our parish without your contributions of time, talent, and treasure. We are most grateful for, and consider St. John XXIII to be richly blessed by your parish membership.
With this year’s campaign, we’d like to take greater advantage of some new tech tools at our disposal. To this end, we’ve developed a digital pledge form to gather four points of information – your name, pledge amount, pledge means, and contribution frequency. You can complete the pledge form through the home page of our app (tap ‘2022 Stewardship Pledge’) or website (stjohn23rd.org – click on ‘2022 STEWARDSHIP PLEDGE’). If you’ve yet to download our app, search for SJ23 in the Apple App or Google Play store. For those unable to pledge digitally, please fill out the form on the back of this letter and place it in the offertory collection basket or deliver it to the parish office by mail or in person. Alternatively, you can call the parish office and we will complete the form for you.
When choosing the means by which you intend to fulfill your pledge, please consider Online Giving if you are not already doing so. While this method comes with fees (1% - ACH, 2% - debit, 3% - credit card, plus 30 cents per transaction), this cost is more than offset by the reduction in time needed by our staff, volunteers, and you to manage contributions. On the other hand, rest assured we are entirely appreciative of all contributions regardless of the means by which they are made.
To proceed with Online Giving, tap ‘Donate’ twice through our app, or click ‘Donate Now’ on our website homepage. If you prefer to give via ACH apart from online giving and are not presently set up to do so, call the parish office to provide your bank account information. Call the parish office as well if you’d like to give via envelopes but aren’t currently receiving them.
So that our pledge records and corresponding collection systems may be appropriately set at the start of the new year, please complete the pledge form ASAP and not later than the end of this month.
As we continue on our Advent journey, we prepare ourselves for rightly celebrating the birth of our Savior, and pray that Jesus may become all the more central to our lives. We wish you well in this journey, and hope it leads you to experience a joyful Christmas season and start to the New Year!
Gratefully yours in Christ,
Rev. Patrick Wendt, Pastor Bill Henkle, Pastoral Coordinator
