BE CHRIST INSPIRED AND JOYFULLY LIVE YOUR CALL
AS A SJ23 PASTORAL COUNCIL MEMBER!
Have you ever thought:
Why don’t we . . .
Why doesn’t someone . . .
What can I do to make a difference in our parish?
Then you should prayerfully consider becoming a Pastoral Council member.
The Pastoral Council is a vehicle for members of St. John XXIII to share in the pastoral mission of Jesus Christ and His Church. The Council advances this mission by developing Catholic identity, building a community of disciples, promoting evangelization, and fostering stewardship. Moreover, by engaging in a continual process of pastoral planning based on the needs and priorities of its parishioners, the Pastoral Council assists the Pastor in determining a fitting path for the parish to follow.
As the Pastoral Council has decided to move ahead with strategic planning, the Council will be assuming a new role in developing a vision for our Catholic faith community and bringing our parish identity to life. Council members will be key collaborators in not only developing our strategic plan but also in making it part of our day-to-day parish life.
As a visionary leader, help renew the way our Pastoral Council fulfills its role and, in so doing, joyfully live your call in service to St. John XXIII!
